In the fall of 2006, ERA began working with First Nations in Western Canada, including the Nisga'a and Haisla First Nations, on ecosystem assessment and restoration of forested lands. This work will provide meaningful employment in remote communities and generate a range of environmental and other socio-economic benefits. In 2008 AND 2009 respectively, ecosystem restoration agreements were executed with the Haisla First Nation and Chehalis First Nation. Discussions are currently underway with Central Interior and South Coast First Nations in regard to additional programming.
